Penang Hill’s iconic event – the Penang Hill Festival (PHF) – is back for its fifth edition from 19 – 21 July 2024! PHF2024 aims to promote and bring about greater awareness of Penang Hill’s nature, history and cultural heritage. The three-day festival will offer visitors and locals a glimpse of Penang Hill’s uniqueness, from its century-year-old railway to its lush greenery and rich biodiversity that was certified as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve site in 2021.

We promise a myriad of fun-filled yet educational programmes ranging from insightful talks and interesting walks to hands-on workshops and informative exhibitions. PHF’s signature event, “Music on the Hill – East meets West”, will also return on 21 July 2024 (Sunday).

  • 2 Chinese tourists killed in Malaysia bus crash - The bus carrying 21 people -18 Chinese tourists and three Malaysians - was running downhill from Genting Highlands when the accident occurred at about 11 a.m. Two Chinese men suffered head injuries and died on the spot,Others suffered minor injuries.

    According to the police, the 32-year-old bus driver did not have a license.

  • Air India to begin flights to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 15 September -Air India, India’s global airline, will start non-stop services between Delhi and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, starting 15 September 2024.
