India, Malaysia discuss better market access, air connectivity, tourism during Jaishankar's visit

AirAsia resumes Penang-Kuching-KK direct flights to boost domestic tourism
AirAsia celebrated the resumption of its Penang-Kuching-Kota Kinabalu (KK) flight sector yesterday, highlighting its strong commitment to the East Malaysian market.
Airasia Sarawak Affairs director Hamdan Mohamad and Tourism Malaysia Sarawak director Nurul Ain Mohammed Yunus were among the welcoming committee at Kuching International Airport (KIA), awaiting the arrival of flight AK5432 from Penang, with 160 passengers on board.
Tourism Malaysia eyes five million Chinese tourists
Tourism Malaysia is confident the target of attracting over five million tourists from China can be achieved this year, supported by the frequency of flights from China to Malaysia.
Its director-general P. Manoharan said that last year Malaysia received a total of 1.47 million tourists from China.
